Kian Kavousi is a New York based Actor born and raised in Germany.
He graduated with a Bachelor or Arts in Interpreting and Translating at the University of Heidelberg, Germany, and a Master of Science degree in International Relations at the University of Bristol, United Kingdom. Shortly thereafter, he moved to New York, where he took master classes in acting, trained by Vincent D'Onofrio. Kian graduated from the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute New York in Spring 2015.
His latest appearance was in the feature film “Miles”, together with Missi Pyle and Paul Reiser. He recently produced, directed, co-wrote and acted in his short film “New York, I Love You?” Kian can be seen Off-Broadway in February 2016, in the award winning production “Defendant Maurice Chevalier,” in which he is not only the project manager but also plays two different roles, Double Meter and François Laporte. The play tells the life story of the famous entertainer Maurice Chevalier. Before his professional path, Kian performed in many theatre projects among which he played Marc in Yasmina Reza’s “ART”, two characters, Gary and David, in Dominic Viti’s “Professionals,” and most notably the role of Joe in a stage adaptation of “Some Like It Hot,” a role that originally starred Tony Curtis in a film version featuring Marilyn Monroe and Jack Lemmon.
After traveling to various destinations in the world, he spent an entire year at an institution called The Fellowship Community in New York, to support people with special needs. Kian plays the piano and also maintains an active lifestyle through sports such as basketball, soccer, swimming and karate, whereby he continues to explore how concentration and physical awareness inform, partner with and liberate mental awareness.
